Drive Ins with Hotel/Motels

Over the years I have seen information on theaters attached to Hotels/Motels. Is anyone aware of any still around? I said something to the kids about them and they are ready to go!
I saw some information on the Fairlee Motel in VT. Anyone ever been there?? It looks like it would be a fun road trip to check it out. Maybe about 12 hours from Detriot Metro area?

Wow, only two?? What a cool concept. It seems like something that would work off I-75 between here and FL. Stop for the night, and see a movie!!!
Wonder if anything is left of the NY one?
I would love to check out the Fairlee, it is a little closer than CO.

Unlike the Star and the Fairlee, this one wasn't designed for in-room movie viewing. The screen was demo'd after a fire. The motel and the snack bar remain. Check out the birdseye aerial, looks abandoned. I'd love to explore it.
I wish the damn Capri had a motel next door. LOL

That would be great to stay right at the Capri. My husband does not like the Cadet!! He will sleep in the back of his truck, but did not like the Cadet!
We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express, they have the pool, or we make the drive home.
The drive to VT would be great. How many drive ins would you see between here and there? Canada, NY, I think there are a few!!!!
I need a month off for a road trip!

Whats wrong with the Cadet? I've seen a lot worse! The Cadet is cheap and the owners actually speak english! LOL (and they have that awesome vintage neon sign)
Between here and NY, I'd stop at every one I could find!

Forgot about this one in Florida. It's E.M. Loews Gulfstream Drive-In, it held 560 cars. Pretty sure it's gone now. Again, not set up for in-room viewing, but still a pretty unique layout for a drive-in/motel combo. The back of the postcard reads (no mention of the drive-in!?)......
Gulfstream Beach Motel 1480 E. Beach Blvd. Hallandale, Florida Phone WAbash 3-9511 New & Modern 52 efficiencies & motel rooms. All completely air conditioned and heated. Daily maid service. Telephone in all rooms. Near Beach, shopping, center, restaurants, Gulfstream Race Track, Hollywood Dog Track, & Jai Alai Fronton, just minutes away.
